Sony AIBO ERS-11X disassembly |

There are six slots in the front and back of an ERS-11X for taking the limbs off of the core. To take them off I use a nail file. You can use anything small enough to fit into the slot but it needs to be rigid. The hard reset button can fix an AIBO that won't boot. Use a paperclip to push and hold the button in for several seconds. |

| Here I am taking the tail off. I slightly push up with the nail file and push the tail backwards. | |

| Here the back legs are off. The white arrows are pointing to the tab and slots the tabs go in to hold the limbs on. This is what you are pushing to remove the limbs. For the legs you push out away from the body, the tail and head you push up. | |

| Here is a fun fact. All 11X models have their legs marked for where they go. RL is rear left and FL is front left. The left is the dogs left not the left side looking head on. This applies to all AIBO models. | |
